SCUC Athletics honors community giant

Dr. Peter Holmes, longtime contributor to the SCUC community, was honored prior to the Steele-Clemens varsity football game on November 2, 2023. A noted orthopedic surgeon in the greater San Antonio-area, Dr. Holmes has been a fixture on the sidelines at SCUC athletic events for 35+ years.

His contributions to the district’s athletic programs range from free surgeries, free Saturday morning clinics and his incredibly wise counsel to the athletic trainers over the course of his time in SCUC. We humbly say “thank you” to a kind and generous man whose impact is measured in the immeasurable contributions he has had on our school district and our community.
