Community Advisory meeting engages public on district present & future

The annual SCUC ISD Combined Community Advisory Committee meeting is taking place this evening in the board room of the William Malish Building. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Clark Ealy welcomed participants of the various advisory committees for the district in attendance, comprised of district personnel and members of the community. After Dr. Ealy introduced the SCUC video, “Small Town Feel – World Class Opportunity”, audience members heard three different presentations.

Deputy Superintendent Dr. Damon Edwards and Wayne Pruski, Chief Financial Officer, presented the State of the District, which includes the SCUC budget, tax rate, and Points of Pride. The Annual Demographer Report was given by Francisco Perez, of Transportation & Demographic Services, and Brent Alexander, SCUC Demographer, detailing growth patterns within the 72-square miles encompassing the school district. JD Mosley, Executive Director of Maintenance & Facilities, delivered the district’s 10-Year Facility Master Plan, which includes possible future bond referendums. Each segment provided opportunities for feedback.
