6th Grade Students Immunization
Methodist Healthcare Ministries, in partnership with Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City Independent School District and HEB Pharmacy, will be conducting an immunization drive to provide an opportunity for 6th grade students currently attending Jordan, Wilder, and Schlather Intermediate Schools to receive the immunizations required by the State of Texas to enter the 7thgrade.
The vaccines will be administered by Methodist Healthcare Ministries’ School Based Health Center and HEB Pharmacy during the immunization drive to be held at:
Jordan Intermediate School on February 18th and 19th during regular school hours.
Wilder Intermediate School on February 25th and 27thduring regular school hours.
Schlather Intermediate School on March 23rd and 24th during regular school hours.
We will be offering the following immunizations: Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis), MCV4 (Meningococcal) and HPV (Human Papillomavirus).
These immunizations are being provided at no cost and are available whether or not your child has health insurance coverage. Since most health insurance plans will cover the cost of preventative services, including immunizations, HEB will submit a claim on your behalf if you provide your health insurance information. Methodist Healthcare Ministries will pay any costs not covered by your insurance plan and for any children who do not have health insurance coverage.
If you wish to take advantage of this opportunity for your sixth grader, please review, complete and return to the school nurse by February 14, 2020 (Jordan), February 21, 2020 (Wilder), March 20, 2020 (Schlather). If you desire to be present during the administration of the immunizations, you will need to call the school nurse to make these arrangements.
