SCUC ISD Trustees honored for School Board Appreciation Month
January is School Board Recognition Month and the Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City Independent School District (SCUC ISD) is honored to celebrate its trustees for their dedication and commitment to the district’s schools and students.
Trustees were honored at the regularly held meeting on January 18th. Every school board member signed books presented to them individually by students from each campus that subsequently signed and will be placed in the school library for students at each school to read and enjoy.
Serving as a link between the community and classroom, school board members are elected to establish the policies that provide the framework for public schools. The SCUC ISD board is responsible for an annual budget of nearly $176 million, over 15,900 students, approximately 2,000 employees and 17 campuses.
The SCUC ISD Board of Trustees are:
Jerry Perkins, President
Ed Finley, Vice-President
Letticia Sever, Secretary
Belinda Evans, Assistant Secretary
Dan Swart, Trustee
