Hello, everyone! 

This fall will include lots of firsts for all of us. This is my first year teaching in my own classroom; last school year, I was here at Steele HS as a long term substitute and Coach Davis' student teacher. I feel so blessed to have been given the opportunity to become a permanent member of the Knight Nation.

I have three kids and a wonderful husband of 20 years. We're an Army family, so we've had lots of moves and adventures. I finished my associates degree while we were at Fort Bragg and earned my bachelor's degree from the University of South Carolina. While at Carolina, I studied environmental chemistry with a focus on pesticides and harmful algal blooms. I was also fortunate enough to earn a scholarship through the National Science Foundation's Noyce Program where I was part of a Project Based Learning internship. 

When we moved to Texas, I started as a substitute teacher here at SCUC ISD and immediately knew that Steele was a wonderful school. I can't wait to meet you all and I look forward to science-ing all the science that we can science together!
