Immunization Information for incoming 7th graders from Wilder, Jordan or Schlater Intermediate schools for 2020-2021 school year:
A letter was sent to you through TxConnect on January 22, 2020 to inform you if your child needs required immunizations before the first day of school for 2020-2021. The letter identifies the required immunizations your child needs. Please print the letter and take with you during your appointment with your PCP.
If your child has already received the required immunizations, please scan and email a copy to firstname.lastname@example.org. This will allow for your child's record to be updated prior to the first instructional day for the 2020-2021 school year.
Please click on the link below for the required Immunizations for the state of Texas for the 2020-2021 school year:
***Students entering 7th grade are required to have a Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis) booster and Menningococcal vaccine.***
***Please note your child will not be allowed to start 7th grade without the required Tdap and Menningococcal vaccine. Should your child arrive at school without proof on the first instructional day, your child will be called from their first period class to a waiting area until proof is provided or parent picks up child. (This is what we don't want to happen on their first day of junior high).
Here are the required additional/booster immunizations needed to start 7th Grade.***
******2020-21 Immunizations Requirements as of 8/7/2020*****
School vaccination rules are in effect for the 2020-2021 school year.
- Students should be up-to-date, in the process of receiving vaccines, or have a valid exemption on file when school starts in the fall.
- School vaccination rules are in effect regardless of whether the education is received via virtual learning or on campus.
