Remote Learning Information
My goal is to be as available as possible to you. Here are the many ways I can be contacted.
Google Voice (call or text) : (423) 218 – 9643
Remind App : To join, send the text @g4k7d9 to 81010, or use the class code g4k7d9 through the app.
I will be most available Monday – Friday during my online support hours 9:45 – 11:15am and again from 2 – 3pm. However, you are welcome to contact me outside of that time for support. I am also available for video conferences/curriculum support via Zoom if requested.
We will be using Google Classroom for our assignments. Luckily, my math classes have been using this ALL year and should already have an account! Students can acess google classroom directly through their Classlink Accounts.
Google: SCUCISD Classlink or follow this link .
A student's log in follows this pattern:
E-mail: last name + first two letters in their FIRST name + LAST three digits of their lunch email@example.com.
Example: (if my lunch number was 054678), my e-mail might look like firstname.lastname@example.org.
Password: fist two letters in their FIRST name + ENTIRE lunch number
Example: (if my lunch number was 054678), my password would be am054678
In the event that your child, for some crazy reason, has not yet been added to my google math classroom, you can join using the class code: zwtwwbs
These first assignments you will be completing are not meant to be challenging. We are easing into remote learning as best as possible, and want students to feel comfortable using the technology. Please remember, we are expecting students to spend around 30 - 45min. (or less) each day per subject.
Assignments will be posted on google classroom at the beginning of the week, and work will be due no later than Sunday at 4pm. I will be checking assignments and contacting parents if I'm not seeing work turned in or completed. These first two weeks back, VERY little will be graded work. What will be graded will only count as a regular assignment.
Moving forward, I will also be scheduling video instruction via Zoom. Most work we will be doing going forward is review (thankfully!), so these Zoom meetings will not be mandatory, just another way for me to help support your learning at home! I will record these meetings and upload them to the google classroom after, so anyone who misses can still view the lesson later.
