Dear Parents and Students,

I would like to start out by saying welcome to 2nd grade and I hope everyone’s as excited as I am to start a brand new year.  I’m so glad that I have the privilege to have you in my class.  I’m looking forward to getting to know you all and having a great year full of laughter and fun.

I’d like to share a couple of things with you about myself.  I grew up in the military and moved often which I have to say I enjoyed!  I graduated from a very small college in Virginia and moved to Texas in 1994 where I got my first job teaching Special Education.  I am now beginning my 27th  year teaching and twenty-six of those years have been in 2nd grade.  I began my teaching career at Rose Garden Elementary which is in the SCUCISD district.  I jumped at the chance to come to Norma Paschal Elementary when it opened its doors in 2003.  I have been very fortunate to have two beautiful children: Evan who is 18 years old and Abby who is 15 years old.  I’m sure your children will repeat many stories because Evan is beginning his freshman year at Texas Tech University this year at Clemens and Abby will be going into 10th grade at Clemens High School.

I am very excited to be back at work and I've missed teaching very much!    Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.  It’s easiest to reach me at my school e-mail address: or call the school and leave a message and I can get back to you.  Stay safe and best wishes to everyone!
