The Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD is proud to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program at Samuel Clemens High School - one of only 960 high schools in the US to be authorized as an IB World School.
What is the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program?
The IB Diploma Program is a rigorous academic and personal course of study with an emphasis on fostering confidence and optimism in the pursuit of a well-rounded, holistic education.
Students complete the coursework over their junior and senior years, along with “the core” capstone program that creates a holistic, learner-centered model of education.
An emphasis on developing critical thinking skills, confidence, and a love of learning are at the heart of the IB’s educational philosophy.
It is also a pathway to college and employment, and is considered the most comprehensive advanced academic program by colleges and universities worldwide.

NOTE: We are an open enrollment program; the application allows us to see where you are at so that we can plan your best course selections.
Students who wish to join IB from outside our attendance zone will need to complete a transfer request upon acceptance.
