• Any private or non-profit agency within the SCUC ISD district boundaries may be considered for paritcipation in Every Student Succeeds Act funding through the district.

    Private, non-profit schools interested in learning more about federally funded programs and services provided by Education Service Center, Region 20 and area school districts are invited to attend an information and consultation meeting on April 26, 2021, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. via an online ZOOM session.

    Federal program services available to eligible private school students, parents/guardians and teachers are: Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, Part B (IDEA-B); IDEA-B Preschool Program; Title I, Part A, Improving the Academic Achievement of the Disadvantaged; Title I, Part C, Migrant Education Program; Title II, Part A, Teacher and Principal Training and Recruiting Fund; and Title III, English Language Acquisition,  Language Enhancement & Academic Achievement Act.


    Private, non-profit schools that elect to receive services must comply with all requisite federal policies and procedures. All services are coordinated through Local Education Agencies (LEAs).   • Federal Programs: Every Student Succeeds Act


    Title Programs

    The United States, through the US Department of Education, provides states federal educational funds based on a state's population, unemployement rate, poverty rates, low-income families and more. SCUC-ISD applies annually for these funds, known as the Every Student Succeeds Act (or ESSA) funds. These programs are divided by title including:

    (1) Title I, Part A: Improving the academic achievement of students

    (2) Title II, Part A: Preparing, training and recruiting high quality teachers and principals

    (3) Title III, Part A: Language instruction for limited English proficient and immigrant students

    (4) Title IV, Part A: To support safe and healthy students with a well-rounded educaiton
