Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Robert Petrisky

I am very excited about the 2019-2020 school year!

Here is a little information about me:

I graduated from Calhoun High School in 1974.  While in Band, I served as Sophomore Representative, Chaplain during my Junior year, and President my Senior year.  I was also a member of the Choir and the National Honor Society.

After graduating with honors from Southwest Texas State University in 1978 with a Bachelors degree in Music Education, I continued my studies as a graduate assistant earning my Masters degree in Music Education in 1980.

This is my 15th year as Head Band Director at Clemens, 25th year with the Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD and 40th year of teaching.  I have previously taught in the Seguin, Pearsall, and Edna school districts.  I was recognized in 1996 as "Teacher of the Year" for the Seguin ISD, and in 2005 for Schertz-Cibolo-Uniiversity ISD.  Additionally, in 2003 I was recognized by the San Antonio Spurs Foundation as "Teacher of the Game".

I am an active performer, being a member of the Mid-Texas Symphony Orchestra for 34 years.  I have also performed with the San Antonio Municipal Band, Heart of Texas Concert Band, the San Antonio Brass, and various other groups in the San Antonio and New Braunfels areas throughout the years.
