Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Rhonda Staton

Welcome! I am beyond thrilled to work with all Watts Wildcats this 2019-2020 school year.  I attended Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama and graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood education. I have also received my Master's Degree in Educational Administration from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. I have taught grades K-5, general education and inclusion, interchangeably throughout my teaching career. I love to learn and share my love of learning. I enjoy reading, listening to music, journaling, and spending time with friends and family. My passion and purpose is to maximize student potential through learning, preparing them for the 21st century and motivating them to be life-long learners.

This year I will be welcoming wildcats to a world of engaging lessons of reading, writing and math in the BASIC (special education) resource setting. I will also provide support for students, parents and general education teachers to ensure that all IEPs are beneficial for the success of our qualified students. Please feel free to contact me via telephone, email or through writing with your questions or concerns. I look forward to working with you this amazing school year!
