Guided Reading Goals

  •

Below you will find out where your child should be throughout the school year.  Levels go up by evens.  The number assigned is from DRA-which is the test we use to determine reading.  The letter is their guided reading level.  Example- 4/C, 6/D, 8/E, 10/f, 12/G, 14/H, and 16/I.  In guided reading they will be on a higher level than DRA.  DRA is where they are independent and guided reading is INSTRUCTIONAL.

Our first graders are expected to read on an independent (can read with no help) 14/H at the end of the year, which also means an instructional 16/I (can read with little help, also where they are at in guided reading.)  The levels below show where your child will be at various times this year.  I have no doubt that our kids will achieve this goal.
