Class Rules

  • We expect our third graders to come ready to learn, participate in class, and have fun! We also expect students to be respectful and not give up when the learning is challenging.
Students can expect me to come ready to teach, make learning exciting, and grow kids'brains. I promise to be respectful, compassionate, and very, very PASSIONATE!
Our Class follows 5 rules from Power Teaching:
RULE NUMBER ONE: Follow directions quickly.
RULE NUMBER TWO: Raise your hand for permission to speak.
RULE NUMBER THREE: Raise your hand for permission to leave your seat.
RULE NUMBER FOUR: Make smart choices.
RULE NUMBER FIVE: Make your dear teacher happy.

In addition to the rules, we will also be using ClassDojo to keep kids and parents informed about behavior. Mrs. Denton and I are looking forward to celebrating lots of points earned.
Dojo allows us to message you about upcoming events, chat with you, and share pictures about some exciting learning projects in real time. (Some of you are more experienced with Dojo than we are... please have patience with us as we learn the system.)

    What is ClassDojo?

ClassDojo is a classroom tool that helps teachers improve behavior in their classrooms quickly and easily. It also captures and generates data on behavior that teachers can share with parents and administrators.

Better learning behaviors, smoother lessons and hassle-free data - and its free!
