COURSE OBJECTIVE:
Español 2 - In this course the four language skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) are expanded with additional emphasis on structure (grammar), culture, and language learning techniques.
Español 1 - In this course, the four basic world language skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) are stressed. Students are taught to form concepts about the history and culture of the language as well as concepts about how the language operates.
Español 1 honors - This accelerated course gives a firm linguistic foundation for the dedicated student who will eventually take the respective AP / IB exam in his/her senior year, with emphasis to develop receptive (listening, reading) and productive (speaking, writing) skills, as well as gain productive (speaking, writing) skills, as well as gain insight into hispanic cultures through classroom activities and exercises that emphasize proficiency.
STUDENTS AND PARENTS - Please sign up for Google Classroom. Daily assignments, notes, tutorial videos and all important information will be posted on Google Classroom.
ONLINE TEXTBOOK
This is your individual online textbook and daily work assignments. (We ususally set these up in class at the start of the school year.) You will now have to set this up on your own with the vhlcentral video to guide you along. (This will be a google classroom assignment due on August 14th.) It is mandatory that you create a vhlcentral account to learn the lessons and turn in daily work. When choosing your personal log in and password, please use the exact same information you would use when logging in to any campus computer. (See below.) Please also memorize the info, the teacher will not have access to that information.
Your log in - Your last name, then the first two letters of your first name, then the last three digits of your school ID number.
Your password - The first two letters of your first name, then your entire school ID number
