• CBN, Clemens Broadcasting Network, is a student-driven experience for those who have successfully completed AVP or Principles of Arts, AV Technology & Communications (with 3 teacher recommendations) plus my approval.

The production process is mastered in CBN. Students plan, film, edit and produce weekly entertaining broadcasts which inform the campus of activities and events of interest. Most often, Final Cut Pro X, Adobe Premiere Pro CC and Adobe After Effects CC are used to produce high-quality programs for CBN. This class provides the ultimate hands-on, leadership-building, higher-order thinking opportunity for the students of Samuel Clemens High School. CBN is a proud participant in and supporter of STEM education!

Much is expected of these students, including excellent attendance, positive attitude, excellent behavior, a working knowledge of the software, and a steadfast dedication to the CBN program and to their fellow crew members. I'm looking forward to working with each member this year as we continue to produce a meaningful year of programs for Clemens.

Note: Grades include active participation in planning and producing weekly broadcasts. A rubric will be given to each member of CBN to facilitate and encourage their active daily involvement. There are many different ways to be actively involved in the pre-production, production and post-production process every day. Students must show self discipline and self motivation on a daily basis, as well as a willingness to go above and beyond what is expected of them for the good of CBN. To build a positive self image and to learn to serve others, 3 service hours per month are required of each CBN class member. A link to these guidelines can be found at the bottom of this page.

CBN students & parents only: To receive updates and messages from Ms. Elliott, join the CBN Remind group. This is a private group. Thank you for respecting this.
