• Welcome To The Home of The Buffalo Steppers

    All of these young people were true pioneers.  Many of them have gone on to Outstanding college careers.  Tiffany (1st Club President) and Teya Roberson (Treasurer) origionally came up with the idea for a Step team at Samuel Clemens HS.  Timesa Hoover, was the Club's second President and recently graduated form Praire View University with a degree in Microbiology and is pursuing her Masters Degree.  Tiffany and Teya have graduated from UTSA in San Antonio.  Many of the others are either in college or have also graduated.   

    Since, the year 2000, the Buffalo Steppers of Samuel Clemens high school has performed all over the San Antonio and Austin area.  The total number of performances have averaged out to approximately 8-10 performances each year.  Performances have included Wilder Intermediate school, Barbara Jordan Intermediate School, Dobie and Corbett Middle School, Autumn Winds Retirement Center, Cibolo Fall Festival, Pflugerville Central Texas Stampede, Brackenridge High School, Madison High School, Sam Houston High School, San Antonio Black Business Expo., John Jay High School, Brooks AFB, St. Philips College, Sunset Station, Seaworld of Texas, 7 Annual Step Shows at Samuel Clemens High School, and at least 2 pep rallys per year.  When combined with the average number of 3 practices per week, this team is constantly working and preparing themselves to be the best at that they can possibly be.    
    There were about 800 people in the audience. Stepping was about to become one of the most popular activities in San Antonio and Samuel  Clemens Buffalo Steppers were leading the way. This show also signaled the begining for 98.5, The Beat and we became the first major Step Show they attended in their inaugural year.  They have been in every Step Show since 2000.
