How to contact Mrs. Hansen during remote learning.
While we are participating in remote learning, the best and most reliable way to contact me is through email. I have been having some connectivity issues with Dojo so messages there are not always being delivered to me. In order to ensure your message reaches me, please send an email NOT a Class Dojo message. firstname.lastname@example.org
Zoom meeting & phone conference times.
Monday, Wednesday, & Friday 8:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
Tuesday & Thursday 12:15 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
During these times, students and parents may reach out for a zoom video conference or a phone call. This will be for assistance with lessons, assignments and technology support.

Hello! My name is Mrs. Jenny Hansen and I’m so excited to be one of your students 5th grade teacher this year. I am the Science and Social Studies teacher for your childs pod. This year is going to be filled with many learning adventures. My expectations for students and myself are high. I teach with excitement in hopes that my passion for learning helps students develop a desire to become life long learners. It is my goal to instill my love of learning in each of my students.
I graduated from the University of New Orleans in 2003 with my BA in Sociology and from the University of Texas with my M. Ed in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies in 2017. I have taught many different grades and subjects, but I must admit, 5th grade Science is my favorite!!
Open communication is critical for our success this year. Please reach out to me with any concerns or questions. I look forward to a great year!
