Degrees and Certifications:
Welcome, Mustangs, to 7th grade!
I'm so happy to have you joining me this year! This isn't exactly how I thought we'd meet, but that doesn't make it wrong-it's just different!
As we prepare for the year, here are a few things to get you started:Supplies:Pocket folderComposition notebooks- one for Reading, one for WritingPencils (enough to last the entire year)Colored pencilsMarkersScissorsGlue sticks (enough to last the entire year)Personal pencil sharpenerRed pensPersonal kleenex (small enough to keep in backpack)You will always need to have a book that you are ACTIVELY reading
August 17th, all students will be required to have a novel of their own to read. Your novel selection needs to be FICTION. Find a novel that is engaging, interesting, and on your level. Please make sure your novel is not a picture book, not a graphic novel, has 100 pages or more, one you have not read before, and is age and grade appropriate.
Typically, teachers would take students to the school library or allow them to use the teacher's classroom library. With the unfortunate current situation, teachers will not be able to do this, so students will need to obtain his/her own novel. This will be used with classroom instruction. This is separate from any summer reading.
Please remember to make good choices so that we do not have to change your book selection. We look forward to meeting you soon!Contact:firstname.lastname@example.orgRemind (based on Honors ELA7 class or ELA7 class)I encourage students AND parents to join the student RemindHonors ELA7 Remind: text @crowh-ela7 to 81010ELA7 Remind: text @crowela7 to 81010Google Class CodesStudent schedules will be available Monday afternoon, August 10, so after that, students can join the Google Classroom based on their class period with me.2nd Period Honors ELA7 h63vdl63rd Period ELA7 wzd5usz4th Period Honors ELA7 fyiacva5th Period ELA7 njvmaly6th Period ELA7 br3l2iz7th Period ELA7 r67wdpt
