Vanessa Moreno, RN
Nurse Moreno is here to welcome back all of our Schlather Huskies!
I hope you all had a good summer break! As we get back into the swing of our daily routines here at school, there are a few items I would like to highlight.
I would like to encourage parents to notify the clinic for any of the following:
*A change in your student's current health status
* A newly prescribed medication
* A change in current medication
* A serious injury, illness or hospitalization
* Fracture, sprain, stitches, or a cast
* A contagious disease such as COVID, flu, strep throat, etc.
* If your child is going to be absent for an extended period of time.
*Please plan to keep your student home for the day if they are showing any signs or symptoms of fever, vomitting or diarrhea that has lasted more than 24hrs. Reminder, your student must be relieved of these symptoms for at least 24 hrs., without the use of medication, to be able to return to school.
You can find all necessary medication forms and action plans on the health services link provided here: Health Services Forms
Finally, if you have not filled out your student's Health Forms in Ascender, please do so as soon as possible. This is important for any health concerns your student may have that the nurse/teachers need to be aware of.
Hoping for a great school year!!
